It’s no secret that organizing saves you time and energy. But to get those precious minutes back every day, we need to put in some weekly, monthly, and yearly. There was a time when I used to question whether it’s worth the effort for all the time we put in on everything that’s around us.
Over the years, I have noticed through dry runs and iterations that it’s worth it. Plus, you get the peace of mind which is priceless. We should keep optimizing as per the changes in our lifestyle.
So, where do we start?
It’s important to figure out a day, time, and format that works best for you. For instance, right after the laundry, I sit down with all my organizers while I stream Netflix.
It requires some discipline initially, but soon it becomes second nature, and the time it saves you throughout the week is much more than the time you spent organizing it at once.
In this blog, we’re going to talk about organizing the stuff that we dig in for and use every day. Yes, that’s right. We’re talking about socks, lingerie, stockings, etc.
I have separate boxes for them. Just like organizing scarves, I stack these in the rows based on the type and colors so that it’s easy to grab when I am getting ready for work.
For example, within the boxes, I keep my boat and ankle socks in separate rows and place the same colors side by side. No matter which boots or shoes I want to go for any particular day, I’m always prepared.
I keep a combination of these basic organizer sets from Simple Houseware. It is lightweight, aptly compartmentalized, and reasonably priced. They also come in different colors for you to match your decor or furniture. You can place it in the drawer or outside. I place it on my shelving unit right next to my wardrobe, so I spend the least amount of time browsing around or getting lost inside my closet.
